Businesses are being invited to join an emergency briefing this afternoon examining how the escalating conflict in the Middle East could affect UK firms.
The session, organised by the Diplomatic Advisory Hub – a joint initiative between the British Chambers of Commerce and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office – will provide the latest government insight into the fast-moving situation and its potential commercial implications.
Taking place online today (Wednesday) from 3pm to 3.45pm, the webinar will explore how developments in the region are already influencing global energy markets, supply chains, insurance costs and wider commercial risk environments.
The event is aimed at businesses of all sizes, with particular relevance for export-focused firms and risk professionals seeking practical guidance on planning and resilience.
Participants will hear from Richard Oppenheim, director of the Diplomatic Advisory Hub, and Stephen Hickey, former director for the Middle East and North Africa at the FCDO.
The session will be delivered in a town-hall format, with attendees able to submit questions via the chat.
