Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce commercial manager Jason Stewart has been recognised by Robert Gordon University and presented with an award for Best Collaborative Partner.
The award recognises industry partners of RGU's Aberdeen Business School and celebrate the best performing students from this academic year and the contributions from a number of industry partner organisations.
Jason, who has a degree in Corporate Communications from RGU, continues to forge key partnerships and engage in important collaborative work with the university in his position as commercial manager at the Chamber.
Jason was presented with his award by Jo Royle, Dean of Aberdeen Business School, in a ceremony at the Sir Ian Wood building.
He said: “Receiving this award is a welcome surprise and a bit of a ‘full circle moment’, having been in the position of a student at RGU’s Aberdeen Business School before moving into the professional workplace environment as the result of an eight-week university placement which led to a 10-year career at Aberdeen International Airport.
"For the past 16 years since graduating I have always felt it important to give back to the future workforce through RGU’s world-class links to industry, and continue to support the university through guest lectures, student placements, and my role as an external examiner and, now, at Scotland’s largest Chamber of Commerce.”
