Over recent years, Aberdeen-based Spectis Robotics has adapted to evolving customer requirements, changing technology partnerships and new market opportunities while continuing to support organisations operating in some of the most demanding environments.
Since 2009, the company has worked across civil and utilities, offshore and onshore energy, ports and harbours, defence, nuclear, aquaculture, emergency services, and marine science and research. Using robotics and remote inspection technologies, Spectis helps organisations gather critical data, improve safety and reduce the need for personnel to access hazardous or difficult-to-reach locations.
As the business continues to evolve, it has invested heavily in expanding the UK market for Deep Trekker remotely operated vehicles while strengthening relationships with specialist technology partners. At the same time, the company has increased its focus on innovation and the development of new solutions informed by real-world operational challenges faced by customers.
Managing Director Brian Storie believes the business is entering an important new phase.
"Spectis has changed significantly over the past few years. While we've continued to grow our technology partnerships, we've also increased our focus on innovation and the development of new solutions that address real operational challenges. As we enter the next phase of growth, it's important that we communicate that story more effectively. The investment we've made in professional content is helping us showcase the people, expertise and technology that sit at the heart of the business."
As part of that investment, Spectis recently partnered with GNG Studios to produce a series of professional video assets designed to showcase the business, its people and its expertise.
The project involved three days of filming and resulted in four long-form videos and eight short-form clips that will be used across LinkedIn, YouTube and other digital platforms.
For Spectis, the project was not simply a marketing exercise. It formed part of a broader effort to raise awareness of the role robotics and remote inspection technologies play across critical industries; while ensuring customers, partners and prospective employees gain a clearer understanding of the company's capabilities.
As demand for safer and more efficient inspection methods continues to grow, the company sees increasing opportunities across infrastructure, energy transition projects, environmental monitoring and industrial inspection.
With ambitions to expand its presence across the UK, Europe and international markets, Spectis is continuing to invest in the people, partnerships and innovation needed to support long-term growth.
Storie added: "We're proud of what we've achieved since founding the business, but we're equally excited about what's ahead. We see significant opportunities across the UK, Europe and other international markets, and we're continuing to invest in the people, partnerships and innovations that will support the next stage of our growth."
For Spectis Robotics, growth is not being driven by a single technology or market. It is being built through a combination of technical expertise, strategic partnerships, innovation and a clear focus on solving practical problems for customers.
