Aberdeen’s largest support and advice event is back – and charities across the city are invited to take part.

Empower Aberdeen will return to the Music Hall on Wednesday 8th October, 10am – 2pm, bringing together the city’s most trusted charities, services, and support providers under one roof to help people access the help they need.

With 46 organisations attending last year, Empower Aberdeen is the city’s biggest multi-charity support event. It offers a unique opportunity for people to find out what help is available in areas including money, housing, energy, health, wellbeing, employment, and more.

As well as helping the public, the event provides a valuable networking opportunity for charities and support organisations to connect, collaborate and build stronger referral pathways.

Dave Sims, contracts and commercial manager at Scarf, said: “Bringing so many charities and support services together under one roof creates real value for the community.

"It breaks down barriers, sparks collaboration and makes it easier for people to get the help they need quickly and confidently in one place.

"We’re excited to welcome new charities that will bring even more ways of supporting our communities.”

This year’s event also marks a milestone for Scarf – the lead organiser – as the charity celebrates its 40th year of supporting communities across Scotland.

Scarf is a registered charity and social enterprise that works in partnership with local and national government, private sector and other third sector organisations to help lower fuel bills and carbon emissions.
