Aberdeen’s largest charity support event is set to return this autumn, with local organisations being invited to secure their place.

Empower Aberdeen will take place at Aberdeen Music Hall on Wednesday 7 October from 10am to 2pm, bringing together charities, community groups and support services from across the city to connect residents with vital help and advice.

Last year, 60 organisations took part, making Empower Aberdeen the city’s largest multi-charity support event. Scarf are now looking to build on that success by welcoming both returning and new organisations to expand the range of support available.

The event offers residents a single place to access information, guidance and practical support on issues including money, housing, energy, health, wellbeing, employment and community services.

Alongside supporting the public, Empower Aberdeen creates valuable opportunities for charities and support organisations to strengthen partnerships, share knowledge and develop referral pathways that help people access the right support more quickly.

Scott O’Neill, Marketing Manager at Scarf, said: “Empower Aberdeen makes it simple for people to access support and helps organisations work together more effectively. Last year, we saw charities build new partnerships and members of the public discover services they didn't know existed.

Every organisation that gets involved strengthens Aberdeen's network of support, helping more people find the right advice, guidance and services when they need them.”
