A charity darts exhibition event hosted at the Alan Soutar Dart Exhibition has raised funds in support of SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health) and CLAN Cancer Support.
The event brought together participants and attendees from across business, sport, and the local community, with proceeds and donations contributing to both charities.
The evening formed part of the Miles of Smiles fundraising initiative, which is currently in its 47th week and forms part of an ongoing programme of charitable activity supporting mental health and cancer care organisations in Scotland.
Marius Coste, Facilities Management Leader at Elior UK and organiser of the Miles of Smiles initiative, attended the event in character-led costume as part of engagement activity designed to support audience participation and awareness. Costumes included Minion, hand-walking clown, and inflatable heart-themed attire.
Event delivery and support involved collaboration across multiple organisations, including:
- Mark Anthony Taylor, event coordination
- Northern Golf Club, venue hosting and hospitality provision
- Alan Soutar and team, darts exhibition performance
- Graham Watson Photography, event photography and documentation
- Serpy, provision of campaign apparel and branding support
Final fundraising totals are expected to be confirmed in due course.
The event contributed to wider efforts across the region to support mental health services through SAMH and cancer support services through CLAN Cancer Support.
