Clydebank dental practice braced for growth

Diamond Dental Care in Clydebank is set to benefit from savings of up to £7,000 per month which will fuel future growth ambitions, thanks to a funding package from Barclays of more than £600,000.

Money saved by the business through better interest rates and consolidation of loans will allow for investment in new equipment and technology, as well as funding a refurbishment of the practice. One of the main aims is to improve access for wheelchair users and patients with mobility challenges.

Long term growth plans include increasing the client base and adding an extra treatment room which would enable the practice to offer additional treatment options for patients.

Diamond Dental Care owner and practice principal, Tara Diamond, said: “The new finance offering from Barclays has had a significant impact on the practice thanks to the savings made. We’re also noticing a reduced administrative burden which means more time can be spent delivering patient care.

“Relationship manager Grant McNally has been really helpful and highlighted what the bank could do from day one, to help me drive the business forward and increase growth with the specialist offering for SMEs.”

Stuart Brown, head of SME Scotland at Barclays, said: “With a strong reputation among the local community, the practice stands in good stead for future growth and we were pleased to offer a solution to help owner Tara to reach her goals.

“At Barclays we’re passionate about helping Scotland's businesses owners at every stage of their journey, and it’s great to see another SME moving towards the next chapter.”
