International law firm CMS has launched a new programme aimed at supporting in-house legal teams to expand their networks, stay ahead of legislative and industry changes, and develop essential leadership skills.
The firm’s newly developed In-House Essentials programme will be rolled out across Scotland with an initial event in Aberdeen on 29 May. Further sessions will be held in Edinburgh and Glasgow on 5 and 12 June respectively.
The programme has been designed to provide tailored events, resources, and insights to help in-house lawyers through a series of insightful and interactive sessions. The events will explore key legislative updates relevant across all industries, the future of contract management and how in-house legal teams can leverage technology to mitigate risk and drive efficiency.
Led by a team of specialist lawyers at CMS, the sessions will feature expert-led discussions and practical demonstrations with an opportunity to network with peers facing similar challenges in business management, contract negotiation, automation, and risk mitigation.
Allan Wernham, Managing Director of CMS Scotland, said: “The In-House Essentials programme is designed to support in-house legal teams with information sharing on key legislative and technology developments and a strong focus on promoting leadership skills.
“The series of event we are staging across Scotland are designed for all in-house legal professionals, from Heads of Legal and General Counsel to Junior Lawyers, as well as contract management teams looking to stay ahead in a constant-evolving legal landscape.”
