Leading independent Aberdeen-based chartered accountancy firm Hall Morrice is hoping to continue its winning ways after being named as a finalist in a prestigious national award scheme.
The company has been unveiled as a finalist in the Employer of the Year (Mid-tier) category of the 2025 Accounting Excellence Awards, just weeks after up-and-coming talent Peter Cowan took home the Rising Star award at the inaugural Finance & Accountancy Business Awards.
With a track record stretching back more than 20 years, the Accounting Excellence Awards sit among the most respected accolades in the industry and celebrate the organisations and people shaping the future of the sector. Three Employer of the Year categories spotlight firms creating exceptional work environments and which demonstrate a holistic commitment to staff development and wellbeing, as well as celebrating how they achieve excellence in service delivery to customers.
The news coincides with the recent appointment of the company’s first ever people and culture manager, a move which firmly underlines Hall Morrice’s commitment to and investment in its team. RGU graduate Hayley Smith brings to the role a decade of experience from the energy and IT sectors and has been tasked with developing the company’s HR infrastructure.
