A new poll has put the Conservatives within two points of Labour, with almost a quarters of voters backing Kemi Badenoch's party.
The YouGov polling, carried out for The Times, shows the highest level of support for the Tories since general election.
It shows 24% of voters back the Conservatives, a slight improvement on the 23.7% that supported the party at the last election under Rishi Sunak.
However, the figure is a much more significant jump on the 17-19% the Tories have been polling at for large parts of the year.
The party also appears to be attracting younger voters, with 17% of voters aged between 18 and 24.
