Costco Aberdeen is celebrating a major milestone this week as it celebrates 25 years since first opening its doors in North-east Scotland’s community.
Since first launching in 1983, Costco has revolutionised the retail industry by offering unbeatable value to individuals and businesses alike.
To commemorate this occasion, a special celebration will take place at the Westhill warehouse on Tuesday 16th of July. Visitors will be welcomed to the festivities with cake, balloons, a red carpet photo wall, and a special appearance from Bernie the Bear - Costco’s much-loved mascot. The festivities are a heartfelt thank you to all those who have supported the warehouse over the past twenty five years.
Costco Aberdeen currently employs over 170 staff, including 18 long-serving staff who have been a part of the team since the early 2000’s. Their long service is a testament of strong workplace culture and commitment Costco has maintained since opening its doors in Aberdeen.
General manager, Margaret Moffat said: ”We are incredibly proud to have been part of Aberdeen for 25 years as we celebrate this achievement. I would like to thank all those who helped us get there.”
Looking ahead, the Aberdeen store remains committed to continuing this journey with people and businesses of the North-east and are looking forward to growing together for many years to come.
