Iconic Aberdeen buildings including His Majesty's Theatre and the Beach Ballroom could be sold off to private firms in a bid to save money.
Aberdeen City Council currently hands the running of such buildings to third-party independent firms and charities, while maintaining oversight and providing funding.
However, the Press & Journal today revealed the local authority is eyeing a move to sell of the venues into private ownership.
Other affected venues include Aberdeen Art Gallery and dozens of leisure centres around the city.
The council could even look to cash in on the P&J Live arena, although it is tied into a contract with current operator Legends Global until 2029.
