Cults gets set for CALA's Easter egg hunt

Ten local businesses in Cults are gearing up to take part in CALA Homes’ annual Easter Egg Hunt. Children across Aberdeen are welcome to complete the hunt in Cults and will be rewarded with a free Easter treat courtesy of the housebuilder.

This is the third consecutive year CALA Homes has teamed up with businesses in Cults to host the popular event which runs throughout the school holidays and Easter. Special numbered eggs will be hidden in 10 store windows along North Deeside Road between Saturday April 1 and Monday April 17.

Children who collect an Easter Egg Hunt form from CALA’s The Paddocks at Cults Park sales suite, located off Kirk Brae, and correctly spot all 10 of the hidden eggs, will be rewarded with a chocolate egg upon returning the form to the sales suite by April 17. CALA will also make a donation to Cults Primary School for every correctly completed form.

Fraser Carr, sales and marketing director at CALA Homes (North), said: “Our Easter Egg Hunt is a fun-filled way to keep the children entertained during the holidays. It also offers families the opportunity to take in the superb surroundings of Cults, from the new homes being created to the fantastic shops on North Deeside Road.

“Each year we’ve given away loads of chocolate eggs to local children while supporting Cults Primary School. For each correctly completed form handed back, CALA Homes will make a £5 donation to Cults Primary School which will be used to purchase new books for its library.

“I’d like to urge families in and around Cults to take part and help us raise a great amount for this worthy cause.”

Cults Primary School has used donations from the two previous years to buy a new audio system and playground equipment.

Local businesses including Scott Gilmour Optometrists, Jack Tierney Gallery, Rowlands Pharmacy, CKD Galbraith, Dolls House Hair & Beauty, Sainsbury’s, The Cults Hotel, Mackinnons Solicitors, Tesco Express and Dental Inspirations have agreed to take part in the egg-stra special Easter event.
