Award-winning homebuilder, Cala Homes (North) has donated a generous £400 to Cults Primary School, after a whopping impressive 80 pupils took part in the Cults Easter Egg hunt during the school holidays.

Cala Homes, which is currently building at the nearby Friarsfield West development, partnered with local businesses on North Deeside Road to host an Easter egg hunt throughout the village, a popular annual event returning for the first time following the pandemic.

Pupils had to find all 10 numbered eggs in the windows of the participating businesses to be in with a chance of winning an Easter egg and for every completed entry, Cala Homes (North) donated £5 to the local school.

Emma Gelati, Marketing Manager at Cala Homes (North), said: “We’re thrilled that we were able to bring back our well-loved Cults Easter egg hunt, and it’s wonderful that so many children took part. As always, we are proud to support Cults Primary School.”

Morven McKay, Head Teacher at Cults Primary School, said: “We are very grateful for the kind donation from Cala Homes this year. Having an activity to particate in during the holidays is positive for all within our community and with the donation that follows, demonstrates an active partnership that we value with Cala and the school.

“We will utilise the money donated by purchasing a class set of headphones, allowing our learners to access their Chromebook devices, fully utilising any sound and/or volume they may require within a classroom setting.”

Cala Homes is currently developing the final phase of its Cults masterplan which has seen the housebuilder create neighbourhoods in the village for more than 10 years. Friarsfield West comprises a selection of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes with the showhome and sales office open 7 days a week, by appointment only.
