Aberdeen based diamond wire cutting specialist CUT has announced major contract awards with three companies for decommissioning projects in Australia, North Sea and India.

The value of these projects exceeds £1.8million.

The projects require utilising their 180”, 74”, 64”, 50”, 18” and a bespoke diamond wire machine for subsea cutting. CUT will be cutting jacket legs, jacket braces, risers and caissons, umbilicals, piles and MWA gravity base structures.

The largest cut will be 360” diameter and the smallest will be 12” diameter.

Bruce Sinclair, business development manager, said: “CUT was awarded these projects as we are globally recognised as the experts for subsea cutting.

"CUT always gets the job done, we always overcome any challenges and always put safety first. CUT does not sell our machines, nor do we allow anyone else to operate our equipment.

"Our clients value the service that we provide, with CUT delivering the best tools in the market, the most experienced Operators, and the most thorough and efficient planning.

"The results speak for themselves, with the fastest cutting times, a safety record second to none and all project deliverables achieved. We look forward to working with these clients on these exciting projects.”
