Cornerstone colleague Katie Innes took to her bike and cycled around 1,069 miles for Cornerstone last month.
Katie set off on her solo journey on the 2nd June from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise money for the people she supports in Cornerstone's North Aberdeen and Shire branch.
Her aim, to raise enough money to build a sensory summer house - a personalised purpose-built space filled with sensory equipment and activities designed specifically to meet the people we support’s unique individual needs.
She made it to John O’Groats on the 29th June, raising a fabulous £4,066 along the way. She said she found the challenge hard going, more than she had imagined.
She was faced with thunderstorms, blistering sun, and huge hills! She was amazed that she finished the cycle but was so proud of herself. What a brilliant achievement – everyone at Cornerstone is so proud of her too!
