Dales Marine Services has been honoured with the prestigious Port Health and Safety Award at the Port of Aberdeen HSE Awards, held at Pittodrie Stadium on Thursday, 10th April.
This annual accolade recognises a company that demonstrates outstanding commitment to health and safety practices across its operations. Dales Marine is delighted that the dedication of its team at the Aberdeen facility has been acknowledged in such a significant way.
Over the past 12 months, the Aberdeen site has achieved a 50% reduction in lost time incidents and an impressive 75% reduction in medical treatment cases. These results highlight the strong safety culture embedded within Dales Marine’s operations, as well as the proactive efforts of everyone working on-site - including employees, customers, contractors, and crew members.
This award stands as a testament to the hard work, discipline, and collaboration of the entire team. Dales Marine remains committed to continuously improving its practices to ensure that everyone returns home safe, every day. This achievement serves as motivation to build upon current progress and set even higher benchmarks in health and safety performance.
Mark Massie, QHSE manager at Dales Marine, said: “Receiving recognition from the Port of Aberdeen for the safety standards that we strive for is a testament to the hard work and commitment to safety that not just our employees have shown, but also those who have visited us over the past year - from all the vessel crews to contractors that have carried out work at our Aberdeen Dry Dock.”
Dales Marine extends sincere thanks to the Port of Aberdeen for this recognition, and to all those who contribute to the ongoing success and safety of its operations.
