Hydro Group has appointed Darren Millar as head of operations, continuing growth and innovation across Hydro Group’s global manufacturing and engineering divisions.
Originally from Aberdeen, Darren began his career as an apprentice electrician, quickly moving into supervisory and management roles. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, disciplined execution, a focus on continuous improvement, and a deep commitment to developing those around him.
Reflecting on his first month with the company, Darren shared: “It’s been a great first month — insightful, engaging, and full of learning. I am delighted to be part of this team and really looking forward to what the future holds and to contributing to the continued growth and success of Hydro Group.”
Darren brings over two decades of experience in operations, engineering, and manufacturing, most recently serving as Electrical Engineering Manager at ACE Winches/Ashtead Technology. During his 11 years with the organisation, he progressed through several leadership positions, including Manufacturing Division Manager, where he oversaw multiple high-value international projects and led large multidisciplinary teams.
