Deepsea Aberdeen has announced that it has joined the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce, further reinforcing its commitment to the region’s globally recognised energy sector and wider business community.

As part of the wider Deepsea Technologies group, Deepsea Aberdeen has a long-standing presence in the North East of Scotland, delivering subsea engineering, manufacturing, and service solutions to the oil & gas and renewables industries. Membership of the Chamber reflects the company’s continued investment in the region and its ambition to actively contribute to economic growth, innovation, and collaboration.

Commenting on the membership, Robert McWilliams, Managing Director at Deepsea Aberdeen, said:
“Joining the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce is an important step for Deepsea Aberdeen. The Chamber plays a key role in supporting the regional business community, and the company looks forward to collaborating with fellow members, strengthening local partnerships, and contributing to the continued success of the North East energy sector.”

The Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce plays a vital role in supporting businesses across the North East, providing a platform for networking, advocacy, skills development, and knowledge sharing. Membership gives Deepsea Aberdeen the opportunity to engage more closely with local organisations, supply chain partners, and industry leaders who share a common focus on operational excellence and future-ready energy solutions.

Deepsea Technologies brings over 30 years of subsea experience, specialising in Subsea Controls, Flowline Connection Systems, and Subsea Structures. With engineering, manufacturing, and service facilities across the UK, USA, Brazil, and India, the group supports projects from concept through to completion, offering everything from standalone subsea equipment to fully integrated subsea system solutions and collaborative EPCI packages. The Aberdeen base remains a key hub for delivering these capabilities to the UK Continental Shelf and international markets.

Through joining the Chamber, Deepsea Aberdeen aims to build stronger relationships within the local business and energy community, support knowledge sharing and industry collaboration, contribute to discussions around the energy transition and future subsea technologies, and promote skills development and innovation in the North East.

Deepsea Aberdeen is pleased to become a member of the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce and looks forward to engaging with fellow members, participating in Chamber events, and contributing to a resilient and sustainable future for the region’s energy industry.

Jason Stewart, Commercial Director at Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are delighted to welcome Deepsea Aberdeen as a new member to the UK Chamber of the Year here in North-east Scotland. Deepsea Aberdeen is a shining example of the world-class energy supply chain expertise our region has built up over the decades, and we look forward to working with their teams to maximise opportunities for engagement, skills development, and networking with fellow Chamber members.”
