Denis Law Legacy Trust would like to thank everyone who joined the trust at Deeside Golf Club for this year's Golf Day, generously sponsored by CNR for the fifth consecutive year.
The event welcomed 31 teams for a fantastic day of golf, while supporting the Trust's work with young people across Aberdeen. Alongside the competitive action on the course, participants enjoyed a range of additional fundraising activities, which proved hugely popular throughout the day.
After five years of perseverance, Big Bad Bob's Birdie Bandits from Hall Morrice claimed first place taking home the Kings of Golf 2026 Trophy. It was a very tight finish with Team McKnight closely behind, followed by Shepherd & Wedderburn.
Individual prize winners also included, Malcolm Charles and Derek Thomson winning the Nearest the Hole competitions, whilst the longest drives went to Duncan McLean and Graeme Little.
The award for favourite team name went to Michael Howie and his team from Global for their entry, "Keeping it on the DL". The clever tribute to Denis Law generated plenty of smiles and demonstrated that the competitive spirit began long before the first tee shot.
David Suttie, Trustee of DLLT said: “The Trust extends its heartfelt thanks to all who supported the event, particularly CNR for their continued sponsorship and to Deeside Golf Club for hosting us so graciously.
"Together, we have raised vital funds that will directly support our award-winning initiatives. These include our Streetsport programme, which provides safe spaces and positive activities for young people across Aberdeen, Club 10, supporting families affected by imprisonment and Denis Law’s Academy supporting young people through personal, professional and wellbeing development.”
Denis Law Legacy Trust looks forward to seeing everyone again next year.
