Denis Law Legacy Trust is delighted to announce that it has received funding from The Robertson Trust to support the core programme costs of Club 10, one of the charity's key programmes supporting families affected by imprisonment.
The funding will also contribute towards the core delivery costs of Streetsport, the Trust's flagship programme.
The Robertson Trust works to prevent and reduce poverty and trauma across Scotland by funding, supporting and influencing solutions that drive social change. Their support will enable Denis Law Legacy Trust to continue providing free, accessible opportunities for children, young people and their families living in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire.
Club 10 is one of Denis Law Legacy Trust's most heartfelt initiatives, supporting children, young people and families affected by parental imprisonment. Since launching in 2017, it has grown into a trusted lifeline for families in the North-east of Scotland. The programme is delivered by Denis Law Legacy Trust and Families Outside, in partnership with the Scottish Prison Service and Action for Children. Sessions take place during children's visits at HMP & YOI Grampian, creating opportunities for families to spend meaningful time together in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Streetsport staff coordinate activities for all ages and abilities, from badminton and mini golf to bowling and creative activities, encouraging positive interactions and helping families maintain strong relationships during difficult circumstances.
Alongside the prison-based sessions, Club 10 also delivers monthly peer support activities within local communities across Aberdeen City. These sessions help reduce social isolation by bringing together, young people and their family with shared experiences, while providing opportunities to build confidence, friendships and support networks.
Using sport, play and creative activities as engagement tools, Club 10 promotes wellbeing, strengthens family connections and helps reduce the stigma often associated with imprisonment. Activities are designed in collaboration with participants through ongoing feedback, conversations and observations, ensuring the programme remains responsive to the needs and interests of the families involved.

The funding will also support the core costs of Streetsport, Denis Law Legacy Trust's flagship programme. Streetsport delivers free sports, physical and creative activity sessions in communities across Aberdeen, creating safe spaces where young people can be active, develop confidence, build positive relationships and access wider opportunities.
As with all Denis Law Legacy Trust programmes, both Club 10 and Streetsport are free to attend, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent children, young people and families from accessing support and opportunities.
