With almost four decades as a cornerstone in Aberdeen's technology and telecoms industry, , DF Communications has been a beacon of stability and excellence, maintaining a close-knit team dedicated to keeping businesses well-connected and secure.

Now, DF Communications is proud to announce significant steps towards enriching both their team and community connections through the introduction of new apprenticeships and advanced training for team members.

Despite the minimal changes in the team over the years, DF Communications recognises the critical need to stay ahead of the curve, not just in terms of updating software systems to combat cyber threats but also in keeping the team's skills sharp and forward-looking.

In line with this philosophy, long standing team members Vikki Hellings, CRM Administrator, and Kerri Hutcheon, Key Account Coordinator, are currently upskilling in Data Analytics, enhancing the team's overall expertise and enabling them to better serve their customers.

Further to the commitment to development and growth, DF Communications has welcomed two apprentices into the team, within both the mobile and hosted departments, in partnership with QA, who aim to shape the next generation of technologists, leaders and innovators.

This initiative not only underlines the company's dedication to fostering new talent but also reaffirms the company’s community spirit and contributions to the sector’s future.

DF Communications has long been passionate about community engagement, demonstrated through initiatives like the DF Big Phone - a refurbished Motorola unit that now provides free phone charging and WiFi while collecting donations for selected charities - and the recent DF

Golf League, which unites North-east businesses in a blend of networking and competition to raise funds for local charities, this year raising over £1,000 for MND Scotland.

The addition of young apprentices is a valuable step for both DF Communications and the apprentices themselves. Gaining experience in the rapidly evolving tech industry from an early stage offers these young talents a unique advantage. Working with a company deeply embedded in the local community like DF Communications, known for its nearly 40-year legacy in Aberdeen, provides them with unparalleled learning and growth opportunities. Moreover, it allows them to contribute to a company that not only leads in the technical field but also prioritises giving back to the community.

By investing in the future of technology and nurturing the next generation of tech leaders, DF Communications is poised to continue its legacy of excellence and community service for years to come.
