Diafora, an RICS-regulated firm of quantity surveyors and project managers based in Dyce, has become a member of Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce as it continues to strengthen its presence across North-east Scotland.

The membership will help Diafora build new relationships with businesses across the region, share its experience of delivering complex energy and infrastructure projects, and become more closely involved in the local business community.

Diafora has an established track record of supporting organisations in Scotland's energy sector. Its current work includes specialist programme management support to Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd for the high voltage direct current cable manufacturing facility at the Port of Nigg. The company has also supported electricity cable installation projects across Scotland. In addition, Diafora has supported offshore wind projects in the United States and Japan, together with construction and civil engineering projects across Europe.

The consultancy provides quantity surveying, which includes contracts administration and management, project management, planning & programming and dispute resolution services. Its team supports projects throughout the full lifecycle, from bid preparation and procurement through project execution to testing and commissioning, and into the maintenance period.

Phillip Holden, managing director of Diafora, said: “We have been very impressed by the work of Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is professional, proactive and engaging, and has been extremely supportive and welcoming to the Diafora team. We look forward to building and maintaining a strong relationship with the Chamber and its members, and to taking part in future events.”

He added: "Diafora is also keen to forge stronger links with local universities. The team wants to support undergraduates through STEM engagement, industry and careers insight and practical examples from the energy and infrastructure projects in which it is involved."

Through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitments, Diafora is dedicated to supporting the local business and wider community. As its presence in north-east Scotland develops, the company aims to create opportunities for local employment and apprenticeships, helping to develop skills and future talent across the region.

From its Aberdeen office at ABZ Business Park in Dyce, Diafora will use its Chamber membership to broaden its local network, learn from other members and contribute specialist commercial, contractual and programme expertise to the region's evolving energy and infrastructure sectors, as well as the wider civil engineering and construction sectors.  Diafora.co.uk

The Diafora team will also be attending the Floating Offshore Wind event at P&J Live next week and looks forward to meeting other Chamber members who will be there.
