Businesses across the North-east are being encouraged to put their future workforce first in 2026 by attending one of two upcoming employer information events hosted by DYW North East.

The free sessions will introduce employers to the wide range of support available to help them engage with young people and strengthen future talent pipelines. Attendees will also learn how the DYW Pledge can help them structure and gain recognition for their efforts in developing young people’s skills and experiences.

The first event will take place at the Copthorne Hotel in Aberdeen on 4 February (2.45-4.30pm), followed by a second session at Banchory Business Centre on 29 April (2.45-4.30pm).

Jamie Hutcheon, Director, DYW North East said: “There are so many good reasons for businesses to support the next generation, from building a future talent pipeline to giving back to their local community. On an individual level, industry professionals who support young people through DYW find it extremely fulfilling and often develop their own skills in the process.”

Both events are suitable for employers who are new to working with young people, as well as those who are already DYW Pledge partners and wish to enhance their existing activity. Organisations of all sizes, and across all sectors, are encouraged to attend. Tea and coffee will be provided.
