Douneside House has announced the appointment of Melanie Dalton as its new General Manager, marking an exciting new chapter for the award-winning country house hotel and estate in Royal Deeside.
Melanie takes on the role following almost ten years with Douneside, where she has been instrumental in the hotel's success as Joint Hotel Manager. Throughout her time with the business, she has played a key role in leading the team, enhancing the guest experience and supporting the continued growth of the estate.
The appointment follows the transition from a Joint Hotel Manager structure to a single General Manager position and comes at a significant time for Douneside, with work progressing on its new luxury spa development, due to open in April 2027.
Melanie said: "I am incredibly proud to take on the role of General Manager at Douneside House after almost ten years as part of this wonderful team. It has been a privilege to help shape Douneside's journey alongside such dedicated colleagues, Trustees and supporters.
"As we look ahead, I am excited for the opportunities that lie before us, particularly the development of our new spa, due to open in April 2027. This marks a significant new chapter for Douneside and will further enhance the exceptional experience we offer our guests.
"Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey so far. I look forward to leading Douneside into this exciting next phase and continuing to build on all that makes it such a special place."
