Two colleagues from Dron & Dickson are stepping well outside their comfort zones this Mental Health Awareness Week by taking on a charity skydive in support of the Mental Health Foundation.

Chris Kirkland and Jamie Niddrie are fundraising as part of a company‑supported initiative to raise awareness of mental health and help fund vital work carried out by the Mental Health Foundation across the UK.

The charity focuses on promoting good mental wellbeing, increasing understanding of mental health, and preventing issues from escalating into crisis.

Mental health affects people in different ways, whether directly or through family, friends or colleagues, and the challenge is intended as a visible demonstration of Dron & Dickson’s commitment to mental health in the workplace and beyond.

Chris Kirkland said: “Taking part in a skydive is well outside our comfort zone, but it’s nothing compared to the challenges faced every day by people living with mental health difficulties. If this helps raise awareness and supports the incredible work of the Mental Health Foundation, then it’s absolutely worth it.”

Donations of any size are welcomed, with proceeds going directly to the Mental Health Foundation to support its ongoing programmes.
