Duke and Duchess of Fife unveil new retirement show homes

The Duke and Duchess of Fife have launched the first retirement show homes, at a £2bn development in Chapelton, a new Aberdeenshire town.

94 new one and two-bedroom apartments and cottages at Landale Court in Chapelton are due to be completed in early 2019, by Brio Retirement Living. This mark’s the developer’s first scheme in the UK, with another site under construction at Stow-on-the-Wold and further sites planned in Poundbury, Buckingham, Southampton and Chester. Landale Court is an 810-hectare site, which is being constructed on the Duke of Fife’s Elsick estate and his ambition is to create a community where residents can live, work and play.

The 55.3 sqm one-bedroom Campbell cottage and the 88.8 sqm two-bedroom Fraser cottage, named after local clans, offer private outdoor space, on-site parking and views over the village green. The homes, which are now available to reserve off-plan, will be within walking distance of Brio’s village hub which contains the homeowner’s club lounge, the Slate & Grain Brasserie & Bar, the fitness suite, hobby/multi-purpose room, guest suite and 24-hour concierge service and is very close to the wider town of Chapelton. Cottages at Landale Court range in price from £255,000 - £345,000 and apartments are available from £242,000 - £299,000.
