Duncan Farms, the Aberdeenshire based family farming business, has secured a Scotland-wide listing with Waitrose and Partners for its Duncan’s Eggs range.

Duncan’s Eggs free range and organic eggs will be rolled out across stores from Wednesday 13th May, offering local, Scottish eggs to Waitrose customers for the first time.

The move marks the latest stage of Duncan Farms’ sustained growth and the continued development of the Duncan’s Eggs brand. The business has experienced rising demand for its traceable, Scottish free range eggs leading to significant investment in sustainable free range farms. Over the past two years, the business has increased free range production by over 70% and invested over £7 million in expanding its packing centre, doubling grading capacity and strengthening its ability to support future growth.

Duncan Farms operates a fully integrated field-to-fork model, growing cereals for their hens’ feed and managing every stage of production, from rearing through to free range laying, before grading and packing the collected eggs. This end-to-end control at every step of the process enables full traceability, consistent quality assurance, and improved sustainability.

The Duncan’s Eggs brand reflects growing consumer demand for traceability, with an online egg tracker that allows every egg to be traced back to its farm of origin.

Rachael Duncan, owner of Duncan Farms, said: “We are looking forward to bringing our Duncan’s Eggs to Waitrose's Scottish customers. Waitrose has a fantastic reputation for stocking high quality produce, so we are proud to have our traceable, nutritious Scottish free-range and organic eggs listed.

“Following significant investment in our team and infrastructure across all stages of the egg production process, this partnership represents an important step in our continued growth. We look forward to working and growing our brand with Waitrose.”

Marianne Robson, Egg Buyer at Waitrose, added:  “We are delighted to be bringing Duncan Farms eggs to our Scottish stores. We know our customers are looking for a direct connection to where their food comes from - a true ‘farm-to-fork’ experience - and you don’t get much better than a family-run business with such deep roots in Aberdeenshire."
