Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) North East has launched DYW Connect – a new event celebrating the collective effort to prepare the region’s future workforce.

Taking place at Ardoe House Hotel on Thursday, June 18, the event will bring together employers, educators, young people and partners from across the region. Centred around the theme Learn, Collaborate, Celebrate, the programme will feature a series of short, thought-provoking speaker sessions offering fresh insights into what’s working – and what’s changing – for young people entering the workforce. It will also include a networking lunch and a celebratory awards ceremony recognising the outstanding contributions of young people, employers and education partners.

Jamie Hutcheon, Director of DYW North East, said: “The work that goes into preparing our young people for their future careers is essential to building a region with a resilient skills base and a strong economy — and working with businesses and organisations to achieve that is critical.
