E-FWD, in partnership with KPMG, is set to host an exclusive lunch briefing in Aberdeen to discuss Allocation Round 7 (AR7) and its implications for Scotland’s renewable energy sector.

The event will take place on Thursday 27 November, at 1 Marischal Square, from 12:00 to 14:30.

The session, titled AR7 & the Road Ahead: Navigating Market Shifts, will bring together senior leaders from across North East Scotland’s energy ecosystem to explore how the region can maximise its position amid evolving market conditions.

With the UK Government’s latest round offering Scotland a separate clearing price from England and Wales. But with a limited £1.08billion budget for offshore and floating wind, questions remain over investment certainty, network charges, and how to sustain Aberdeen’s leadership in the global energy transition.

E-FWD Editor, Ed Reed said: “Aberdeen is at a crossroads. AR7 represents both opportunity and challenge for Scotland’s renewable future. This briefing is about equipping industry leaders with the insights and strategies needed to navigate these shifts and keep the North East at the heart of the energy transition.”

The discussion will cover:

  • How AR7’s structure will impact North Sea renewable projects
  • Strategies for navigating Scotland’s complex planning and grid systems
  • Implications for Aberdeen’s energy sector and supply chain

With limited places available, the event promises focused discussion and actionable intelligence for energy businesses across the region.
