Elev8_ACS, based in the North-east of Scotland, has shown strong support for SSAFA Grampian by attending a recent community fundraiser and launching an ambitious 250-mile charity car rally to raise funds for the Armed Forces charity.
Some members of the card club recently attended SSAFA Grampian’s annual Big Brew Up fundraiser, where a team member not only supported the event but also made a donation of £200 for two pieces of original artwork that had been created by an 86-year-old local veteran, who served 23 years with The Black Watch Regiment, highlighting the ongoing commitment to supporting those who have served within the community.
Building on their involvement, Elev8_ACS is now gearing up for a 250-mile charity car rally taking place on 19 July 2025. The team will drive a collection of colourfully decorated cars across Scotland to raise money for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, which supports veterans, serving personnel and their families.
Branch secretary Shirley Lumby, SSAFA Grampian, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Elev8_ACS for their enthusiasm and generosity. They have long surpassed their original target of £1,000 and have almost reached to date £1,600. From joining our Big Brew Up to launching their own fundraising rally, their support will enable the branch to continue to provide the support and assistance to our armed forces community."
Donations to support the rally can be made online via the team’s JustGiving page: www.justgiving.com/page/elev8acscharityrun
SSAFA Grampian continues to offer a wide range of support to the local Armed Forces community, including welfare assistance, befriending, and signposting services.
