Marius Coste, Facilities Management Leader at Elior UK, is continuing his Miles of Smiles campaign during Mental Health Awareness Week, with activity marking Week 49 of an 82-week initiative focused on mental health and cancer awareness.
As part of this week’s activities, Marius was featured on local radio discussing mental health awareness and the importance of community engagement and early intervention.
In support of Mental Health Awareness Week, Marischal College was illuminated green, with civic recognition following recent engagement with the Support Officer to the Lord Provost of Aberdeen, highlighting growing local support for the campaign.
The Miles of Smiles initiative includes weekly fundraising and awareness activities such as physical endurance challenges and community engagement events, supporting charities including Scottish Action for Mental Health and Clan Cancer Support.
Marius Coste said: “Miles of Smiles is about consistency and visibility around mental health. It is a long-term commitment to encouraging conversation, reducing stigma, and supporting those affected by mental health challenges and cancer.”
The campaign continues to engage colleagues, partners and the wider North-east community, with further activity planned as it progresses towards Week 50.
