A new video showcasing the success of Empower Aberdeen has been released by Scarf, following overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees and participating organisations.

The event brought together 60 charities, services, and community organisations, supporting hundreds of local residents to access help with housing, energy, wellbeing, employment, and more. On the day, many visitors arrived with lists of the organisations they hoped to speak to, showing the clear demand for accessible community support.

Feedback shows the impact:

  • It was amazing to be part of the event and provide help and support for people in their day to day life. It was nice to see many other organizations / companies come together.” – Sam, Welfare Rights Advisor at Cfine
  • 100% of organisations said the event met their goals
  • Great event, a lot of networking was done that day. Looking forward to next year” – Lewis McGill from Aberdeen Tenants & Residents Partnership

Empower Aberdeen was supported by local sponsors including AtkinsRéalis, CHAP, Currie & Brown, Goodson Associates, hub North Scotland, Kier, Morrison Construction, Robertson, and Wallace Whittle.

With the event now confirmed to return in 2026, Scarf co-CEO Lawrence Johnston said: “Aberdeen is full of incredible organisations delivering life-changing support, but people can only benefit if they know where to turn. Empower Aberdeen was about closing that gap and removing the invisible barriers that stop people reaching the help they need.

The conversations and connections made in that room will ripple out into homes and communities for months to come. We’re committed to building on this momentum and making next year’s event even more impactful.”
