Multi award-winning torque specialist EnerQuip has announced plans to consolidate its US presence by recruiting additional personnel at its Houston base.
The Aberdeenshire-headquartered company recently marked two years since its strategic relocation to a 6,000 sq. ft base in the Humble area of the city. The move has been instrumental in uplevelling EnerQuip’s capacity to handle refurbishment and life extension projects of torque equipment throughout the Western Hemisphere, reducing lead times by removing the need for shipping back to the UK for work to be carried out.
In 2025, the North and Latin American markets accounted for one fifth of EnerQuip’s overall £25 million revenues, and some £4 million in the first half of 2026. Now, the uptick in work has prompted the decision to add another two people to the Houston-based team in coming months, bringing the total number of staff working from there to six.
Cody Land, US Operations Manager said: “The opening of our expanded Houston base was a landmark moment in the growth of EnerQuip. It has already been instrumental in improving the flow of revenue whilst attracting new machine overhaul and upgrade business that would traditionally have had to be shipped to the UK or potentially lost due to long transit times to our facility in Aberdeen.
“We are delighted with progress made in Houston to date and we look forward to further growth as the site continues working towards reaching its full potential.”
