To further enhance Enigma's growing presence throughout Aberdeen and the wider Grampian region, the national contract scaffolding and industrial services provider has invested in larger premises by undertaking a 15-year lease on a newly refurbished warehouse unit with a 10,556 sq ft secure yard.
The new unit, equipped with upgraded workshop spaces and ancillary office accommodation in the Forties Industrial Estate, is located within the larger strategic Altens Industrial Estate and forms part of the Aberdeen Energy Transition Zone (ETZ).
ETZ is the UK's largest dedicated energy transition complex, created to position North-east Scotland as a globally recognised hub focused on delivering net zero.
Regional Director Blaidd Jones commented: “With our continued growth over the last few years, we have recognised our need for bigger and better premises.
"We are now ideally placed for the continued delivery of market-leading contract scaffolding services to our customers in the new build housing, construction and oil & gas sectors throughout the Grampian area. Enigma operates one of the UK’s largest scaffolding asset bases, and we provide an accredited, safety-first, cost-effective professional service.
"I am pleased to announce we have recently won a contract from Barratt Homes North Scotland to support their Cordyce housing development to build new houses on the edge of the existing urban area. Additionally, we have won contracts from Cala Homes for their Conglass, Inverurie, and Silverburn, Aberdeen, new housing developments.
"To support this continued growth, we currently have 19 apprentices at various stages of their training programmes who are actively working on our clients’ sites.
"Additionally, we have recently onboarded 4 more apprentices who will be attending our newly opened in-house training centre facility in Derby to undergo practical training sessions before returning to our Aberdeen depot for yard training.
"They will then be deployed to our client’s sites where they will join an existing Enigma scaffolding squad who will provide further on-the-job practical training and mentorship.”
