Equalizer International Group makes key appointments to support future growth

Equalizer International Group, the award-winning, world-leading designer and supplier of innovative flange maintenance tools, has made significant appointments at director level to ensure the Group is well poised for future growth.

Ian McCormick remains as Group Chairman. John Morgan has been promoted from group engineering and operations director to group managing director. He will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Equalizer Group which covers Equalizer International in Aberdeen and its subsidiaries in Houston & Taiwan.

Alan Morrison and Nichola McCormick, both members of Equalizer’s Group Management Committee, have been awarded directorships.

Alan, formerly group business development manager, steps up to group business development director, responsible for leading Equalizer’s market development globally.

Nichola, previously Group Financial Controller, is appointed Group Financial Director with global responsibility for accounting & financial reporting.

Bob Stephen’s role has changed from group technical director to group projects director to utilise his innovative skills in expanding & improving Equalizer’s range of tools.

“The restructuring has been implemented to underpin & facilitate future planned growth worldwide” said Mr McCormick. “We are almost two years on from launching two international subsidiaries, Equalizer Asia and Equalizer Americas, and the brand is well established in both regions. We intend to build on this good start and the restructuring will enable this.”

The Equalizer Group has continued to expand its global reach. In 2016 alone, agreements have been signed with seven new international distributors, taking the total number of countries in which Equalizer is sold to over sixty.
