Popular Brazillian barbecue chain Estabulo looks set to open a second Aberdeen venue after signs appeared at a vacant unit on Union Street.

New branding for the bar and grill restaurant has gone up on the ground floor of the former Esslemont and Mackintosh building, sparking speculations that the eatery is preparing to open a second city location.

There was a buzz of activity at the site of 38 Union Street earlier in the week. with workers seen inside the property as parts of the venue appeared to undergo refurbishment.

Several windows have now been covered with promotional posters while the Estabulo branding has also been added to interior walls.

The gaucho-style restaurant currently has eight locations which are all in England, except the Union Square branch.

The move to Union Street would mark further investment in the North-east.
