Leading service provider, IKM Testing, has secured a grant from the ETZ Challenge Fund to invest in specialist grouting equipment, marking a strategic expansion into the offshore wind sector.

IKM Testing’s well services team is leading on the project which will allow them to deliver grouting services for offshore wind turbine foundations. This process is critical to ensuring structural stability, supporting load transfer from the turbine to the seabed, and enhancing long-term performance.

David Ramage, Commercial Manager at IKM said, “We are extremely grateful to ETZ Ltd for this funding which supports our ambitions to expand into the renewable energy sector. Adding this equipment to our fleet allows us to offer a new service offering, which has unlocked significant growth opportunities within the thriving offshore wind sector.”

Maggie McGinlay, Chief Executive at ETZ Ltd, commented “We are pleased to have supported IKM Testing’s ongoing diversification into the offshore wind sector through our Challenge Fund initiative. This investment builds on the company’s world-class expertise, opening up new markets and strengthening Scotland's low-carbon supply chain. It also keeps high-value skills and jobs in the region, further reinforcing Aberdeen and North East Scotland’s position as Europe’s Capital of Energy Excellence.”

IKM Testing UK is a complete service provider for the energy sector, delivering solutions for both traditional and renewable energy markets.
