ETZ Ltd is pleased to share its annual report for 2024/2025 which summarises a period of great progress and achievement, which would not have been possible without the commitment of its funders, partners and the energy supply chain companies in this region.
It is this collaborative approach which will support its goal of positioning North-east Scotland as a globally recognised hub of energy excellence.
The past year has brought its share of challenges for the region and its businesses. Throughout this time, ETZ's focus has been on standing alongside its stakeholders, providing guidance and support to help navigate uncertainty and ensure North-east Scotland continues to strengthen its position as an energy leader.
Together, real progress has been made, advancing key infrastructure within the Energy Transition Zone (ETZ), delivering robust support for the local supply chain, championing essential skills development, and driving initiatives that secure a just transition, one that benefits the region and creates lasting opportunities.
Maggie McGinlay, chief executive, ETZ Ltd said: “A key focus of our activity is ensuring that businesses, and the people they employ, can access support that enables them to capitalise on the massive pipeline of opportunity—both here on our doorstep and internationally. Our dual focus of being a trusted partner to businesses across the region and developing the Energy Transition Zone remains at the forefront of our delivery.
“ETZ Ltd was formed only four years ago, and this latest annual report provides an update on the delivery of our team, which I am privileged to lead. We are under no illusion about the challenges and obstacles that need to be overcome, but we remain optimistic about the long-term prospects of our city and region as a genuine world-leading energy hub.”
