Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) has launched a new city-wide accommodation booking solution designed to make it easier for conference organisers, delegates and visitors to the city to secure accommodation, as the venue looks to strengthen Edinburgh’s position as a leading global events destination.
Developed in partnership with venue-finding agency ExecSpace and powered by HotelMap, the platform is now live on the EICC website and provides a single, centralised way to search and book accommodation across the city. Alongside this, ExecSpace works with EICC to support organisers with larger room allocations, offering a more joined-up approach to accommodation for events of all sizes.
Discussing the new offering, Carron Webster, Sales and Marketing Director, EICC said: “Access to accommodation is a critical factor in securing and delivering major events. Through our partnership with ExecSpace and HotelMap, this platform provides a more coordinated, city-wide solution for individual bookings, while our partner, ExecSpace, works with us directly to support larger room allocations. Together, this creates a more seamless approach for organisers and visitors and strengthens Edinburgh’s ability to compete as a global events destination.”
The platform will feature a comprehensive selection of hotels within an eight-mile radius of the EICC, giving users access to a wide range of locations, styles and price points. Hotels listed on the platform will also feature regular special offers, helping visitors benefit from competitive pricing throughout the year, while supporting organisers in securing suitable accommodation across a range of event sizes.
Importantly, the Edinburgh accommodation solution is not limited to conference delegates. It is designed to support organisers, local businesses, organisations and associations across the city, complementing Edinburgh’s strong transport infrastructure, including direct rail links, an extensive bus network and tram connections to and from the airport.
