EY has announced several senior appointments and promotions in its Aberdeen office to support the firm’s growth ambitions and further strengthen the skills and capabilities it is able to provide to clients across the city.

Andrew Henderson has joined EY as a corporate tax Partner and has over 16 years of experience advising companies in the energy sector. In his new role, Andrew will continue to support energy clients, with a particular focus on tax compliance, international advisory services and transactions.

Also based in EY’s Marischal Square office, Anna McConnell and Murray Mitchell have been promoted to Partner and Director respectively in the Audit practice. Anna has lived in Aberdeen for most of her life and has worked at EY for over 10 years with a focus on statutory audits. Anna leads multi-location engagements and provides technical, commercial and people leadership.

Murray Mitchell originally joined the Aberdeen office in 2015 through the EY School Leaver programme and now works in the Audit business, leading high-quality audit engagements. Murray has also played a key role in embedding the firm’s Future of Audit. Now strategy at a local level. This combines a modern audit approach, streamlined processes and an AI-powered platform to enhance audit quality, improve the audit experience and deliver deeper insights.

Mark Wilkinson and Craig Clark have been promoted to Director in the Aberdeen Tax practice. Mark, who also grew up in the city, specialises in working with companies in the oil and gas sector, advising on the UK’s upstream tax regime, tax compliance, tax risk, and the tax implications of investment, decommissioning and transactions.

Craig Clark, from Buckie, spent more than three decades working at HMRC prior to joining EY five years ago. His new role in the indirect tax team involves working closely with clients to advise on customs and excise requirements and emerging sustainability taxes.

EY also welcomes Kristen Rossvoll to its Aberdeen team as an Associate Director, following senior corporate banking roles most recently at Bank of Scotland. Kristen will lead business development across Aberdeenshire, with a particular focus on the energy sector.

Gemma Noble, Aberdeen Office Managing Partner at EY, said: “Our new appointments will further strengthen our business in Aberdeen and the range of skills and capabilities we are able to provide our clients across the city.

“Aberdeen has a proud track record of innovation and is home to thriving industries, from energy and technology to food, drink and agriculture. The investments we are making in talent reflect our confidence in the opportunities here and support our ability to provide clients with the commercial insight they need to make informed investment decisions and navigate an increasingly complex economic and regulatory environment.”

EY Scotland has made more than 250 promotions in 2026 so far and recruited over 130 new hires across its Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow offices. This includes five new joiners to the Aberdeen office through its graduate and apprenticeship programme.

Gemma Noble added: “One of the things I'm most proud of is that people can build long, successful and rewarding careers right here in Aberdeen. Whether they join us as a school leaver, a graduate or an experienced hire, there is a clear path to develop and progress. Having joined EY as a graduate and grown my career with the firm, I’m fortunate to have had that opportunity myself, and I see the same story reflected in so many of the talented people we work alongside every day.”
