Summer family sessions where all ages can discover this ancient Cathedral together are being held on July 12 and 13, and August 15 and 16.

All sessions run from 10.30am until 12.30pm.

Explore the Cathedral’s history through interactive family tours and dress up in period costumes. Create on its craft table with clay and colour and make a souvenir to take home.

Budding musicians can experience the power of the Cathedral organ or try out their bell-ringing skills up in the belltower. The archives will be open displaying medieval charters and seals, early printed books and punishment records and much more.

Hunt for shields around the Cathedral or discover the biodiversity project outside in the graveyard with leaflets and magnifying glasses. Play on the interactive touch screen or choose from the range of leaflets. Teas/coffees and juice will be served. Donations to the Cathedral fund appreciated.

No unaccompanied children are allowed. More information is available at stmachar.com or by emailing education@stmachar.com
