Michael Silva, founder of Aberdeen-based creative video marketing agency Farsight, will be lacing up his boots on June 1st for this year’s Aberdeen Kiltwalk, taking on the route from Bellfield Park, Banchory to Duthie Park to raise vital funds for a cause close to his heart - Aberdeen Arts Centre.

The Aberdeen Arts Centre has been a cornerstone of the city’s creative and cultural life for decades, offering a unique space where voices are nurtured, talents are developed, and lifelong bonds are formed.

From young performers taking their first steps on stage to community groups building confidence and connection through creativity, the centre has had a profound and lasting impact across generations.

Supporting the arts is about more than performance - it’s about investing in the creativity, confidence, and community spirit that define a thriving city.

Michael chose Aberdeen Arts Centre as his charity because of the important role it played, not just within the community, but in shaping his own journey.

He said: "The arts gave me the direction I needed to express myself and ultimately build a career doing what I love. Taking part in the Kiltwalk is my way of giving back to a charity that works so hard to support its people and entertain the local community."

Through his walk, Michael aims to raise both awareness and funds to help Aberdeen Arts Centre continue offering creative opportunities, developing new talent, and providing a home for artistic expression across the North-east of Scotland.

Every donation made will directly support the Centre’s programmes - helping to keep the arts alive and accessible for future generations.
