Award-winning AI digital tech company Fennex celebrated receiving the prestigious Kings Award for Enterprise 2025 for International Trade on Tuesday 28 October, showcasing its achievements in 2025, and its expanded office space in Aberdeen’s ONE Tech Hub.
The presentation was led by Aberdeen’s Lord Lieutenant, David Cameron, in front of an invited audience of customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, Nassima Brown, Co-founder and Strategy Director at Fennex, said: “We are deeply honoured to receive the UK’s most prestigious accolade, recognising our success in growing overseas export of our AI-powered safety solutions for the offshore industry.
"Innovation has always been at the heart of Fennex’s journey — it’s what has enabled us to scale our cutting-edge digital technologies globally and achieve a remarkable 300% growth in export sales over the past three years. This award is not just a recognition of our global success, but a testament to the power of technology and partnerships driving safer, smarter, and more efficient operations across high-risk sectors worldwide.
“We are also delighted to have recently doubled our office space at ONE Tech Hub, a vibrant environment that continues to fuel our growth, creativity, and collaboration. The support from the team at Opportunity North East has been pivotal, and Fennex is now their largest tenant in the Hub. ONE remains a key partner in our ongoing growth, and our location within the Hub ensures that we remain at the heart of digital technology excellence in Aberdeen. The expertise and support we have received from ONE has transformed our approach to entrepreneurship and enabled our progress - they are an invaluable resource. While 70% of our business is now international, we remain proudly anchored in Aberdeen and the North-east, where our story began.”

In the last three years Fennex has also doubled the number of employees to 30 people representing 12 nationalities, with 35% women in the workforce and 50% of leadership roles held by women. Many of its employees have progressed from graduate hires to senior positions through structured CPD programmes. Fennex maintains strong connections with local universities, offering internships and development opportunities that help to build the region’s future skills base.
