Aberdeen Lord Provost, Dr David Cameron, said: “What a wonderful 2025 it has been for Aberdeen, from Aberdeen Football Club winning the Scottish Cup in May, The Tall Ships Festival in July, and now finishing the year with the return of our much loved Christmas Festivities which people of all ages look forward to each year.
“There will be something for everyone to enjoy across the city centre and come together with friends, family and loved ones. I am looking forward to welcoming back this year’s Christmas events.”
Ian Littlewood, Operations Director at John Codona’s Pleasure Fairs said: “We are extremely excited about this year's Christmas Village. We are partnering again with Charlie’s House charity for the Curated in the Square market which will be in a brand new location within Marischal Square. Local food heroes Big Mannys Pizza, Tucan, Hot Chip and We Love crumble are also returning for another year. We will also have a selection of rides to suit all age groups and the ever popular ice rink.”
Adrian Watson, chief executive of Aberdeen Inspired, said: “Christmas is when Aberdeen comes into its own as a glittering festive treat that can compete with the best in the country.
“From the thrill of the Christmas Village to the captivating Curated In The Square market - full of local traders and creatives – it is an enchanting time.
“The real magic is the thousands of people flocking into the city centre, creating a vibrant atmosphere while supporting local businesses. That is a gift that keeps on giving for everyone.”
John Brebner, chief executive of Charlie House, commented: "Charlie House is proud to be part of Aberdeen’s magical Christmas celebrations this year. The festive season is a time of joy, togetherness, and community spirit, values that lie at the heart of everything we do. Being involved in the festivities allows us to connect with families, spread cheer, and raise awareness of our mission to support children with life-limiting conditions. It’s a special time to create cherished memories, and we look forward to celebrating with the community."
All events are subject to planning and licensing permission. Full details of the Christmas in Aberdeen events will be announced shortly.
