Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG) builds excitement in the countdown to the SME Technology Showcase 2025, taking place on Tuesday 30 September at Sandman Hotel, Aberdeen.

Now in its second year, the event is set to be even bigger and better, with a packed agenda designed to spotlight innovation, collaboration, and opportunity across Scotland’s energy supply chain.

Delegates will hear from a diverse range of SMEs presenting pioneering solutions in digital technology and AI, energy storage, subsea innovation, and offshore wind. The sessions will be chaired by industry leaders, with Karen O’Hanlon of Opportunity North East leading the digital panel, Jodie Mewse of Fugro chairing the subsea session, and Isla Robb of ETZ Ltd guiding the wind discussion.

The Showcase will also feature a bustling exhibition, networking opportunities, and rapid-fire “TechByte” sessions designed to highlight cutting-edge technologies shaping the energy transition.

This year’s event is made possible with the support of Scottish Enterprise as Platinum Sponsor, reflecting its commitment to driving innovation and strengthening Scotland’s energy supply chain. AREG is also delighted to have Elementz and Veunex on board as event partners, adding further expertise and energy to the programme.

Sarah Wells, AREG business development manager said: “Last year’s inaugural SME Technology Showcase was a huge success and really showed the value of giving innovative companies a platform to shine. This year, we’ve built on that momentum with an even stronger programme and more opportunities to connect. It’s inspiring to see the creativity and ambition of our supply chain on full display, and the team are excited to welcome delegates, exhibitors and partners to what promises to be another fantastic event.”
