North-east businesses are being encouraged to dust off their golf clubs and secure one of the final remaining places at Charlie House’s upcoming golf day, with just three team spaces still available.
The local charity will welcome golf enthusiasts to their annual golf day, taking place on Friday 21st August at Peterculter Golf Club. The event, generously sponsored by Oceaneering and Serica Energy, brings together businesses from across the region for a day of golf, networking and fundraising in support of local children with life-limiting conditions, and the families who love and care for them.
Teams of four will enjoy an 18-hole competition with breakfast on arrival, lunch, and on-course challenges and prizes, while helping deliver vital specialist support to families across the north-east. The charity receives no statutory funding and relies on the generosity of its supporters to provide its services.
Emma Leiper Finlayson, Director of Fundraising at Charlie House, said: "Our Golf Day is always one of the highlights of the fundraising calendar and a fantastic opportunity for businesses to spend quality time with colleagues and clients while making a real difference for local families. We're incredibly grateful to our headline sponsors, Oceaneering and Serica Energy, whose support helps make the event possible. With just three team places remaining, we'd encourage businesses to book now and be part of a fantastic day on the course, all while helping local children and families who need vital support."
Teams are priced at £750 for four players. To book one of the final team places or find out more, visit: www.charliehouse.org.uk/events/golf-day or email: fundraise@charliehouse.org.uk.
Charlie House was established in 2011 to address the lack of specialist support available locally. Its services include a range of regular fully accessible and inclusive activities, activity short breaks, one to one and family therapeutic support, pre- and post-bereavement support and information and advocacy support.
The services improve the families’ mental health, wellbeing and resilience, helping them maintain positive relationships and enhancing their quality of life while enabling the whole family to enjoy the time they have together, however long or short that may be.
