Aberdeen-based First Tech Limited achieved a record turnover of £72million in the year ending 30 April 2025 before the sad passing of founder Ian Suttie.

The diverse group, which includes First Integrated Services, First Marine Solutions, First Competence, First Subsea, and Mooring Systems, posted the results despite navigating difficult market conditions.

It comes after First Tech founder Ian Suttie, a much-loved leader among the business community and generous supporter of various local causes, sadly passed away in October at the age of 80.

Mr Suttie grew First Tech from a small engineering company into the diverse industry mainstay, with his son Martin Suttie now taking control of the business.

The financial results showed pre-tax profits of £5.4million, the P&J reports, and net assets up 8% to more than £46.8million. The business is also continuing to expand its staff headcount.
