Flexistore is proud to announce its support for Sport Aberdeen’s annual Christmas initiative for the SPACE (Supported Physical Activity for Care Experienced) programme, with managing director Mike Duthie pledging to fund the entire gift-giving effort for 2025.
During a recent visit to Sport Aberdeen’s headquarters, Mike met with team members including Katrina Carr, who helps coordinate the organisation’s Christmas party for children and young people supported through the SPACE programme. Each year, the initiative ensures that every participant receives a personalised gift tailored to their interests and needs - from footballs and swimming goggles to clothing for displaying achievement badges earned at Hazlehead Park.
This year, Mike has generously offered to fund all of the individual gifts provided to dozens of children who benefit from the SPACE programme.
“Community has always been at the heart of Flexistore, and supporting the SPACE kids’ Christmas initiative is a small way we can help make the season brighter for young people who deserve every opportunity to feel valued and celebrated,” said Mike. “Sport Aberdeen’s work is extraordinary, and we’re delighted to contribute.”
Graham Kelly from Sport Aberdeen expressed immense gratitude for the support.
“At a time when many organisations face significant challenges, this act of generosity means the world to us,” said Graham. “Mike’s contribution ensures that every child in the programme will receive a thoughtful, personal gift - a gesture that carries so much meaning and joy. It’s heartening to know that local businesses and individuals continue to step up for their community.”
Flexistore’s support reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to community engagement and improving the lives of families across Aberdeen.
