Flotation Energy has appointed Masakazu Kimura as Chief Operating Officer, succeeding Toru Fujishiro, who has returned to Japan to become Head of Wind Power Department at TEPCO Renewable Power.
Toru will continue to support Flotation Energy as a Non-Executive Director, providing continuity and further strengthening the strategic relationship between the company and its shareholder.
During his time as Chief Operating Officer, Toru played a key role in Flotation Energy's growth, helping to strengthen the business while drawing on the expertise of the TEPCO Group. Under his leadership, the company advanced major projects including pioneering UK projects, Green Volt and Cenos, while further developing its international offshore wind portfolio.
Masakazu brings more than 15 years' experience across renewable energy, offshore wind and international business development. He joins from TEPCO Renewable Power, where he served as Group Manager of the Wind Power Department. Prior to that, he held senior roles across the TEPCO Group, including JERA and TeaM Energy.
Joining the company in October 2025 as Programme Director, Masakazu managed progress across the project portfolio, providing commercial guidance across the business and takes up the position as the business moves from development into the delivery of several flagship offshore wind projects.
